Has anyone else heard the theory that if you hang your hair off a couch or bed for a few minutes a couple times a day, it will grow faster?

No, I haven't heard about that.

My sister, Jes, made the declaration one day that "salad makes your hair grow." She ate lost of salad at every meal shoe could and with in a month her hair was twice as long as it had been. She had the longest hair of all us girls at her age. She was 6 a the time.

That does work- my sisters and I all did it, and our hair grew at least 2 inches over the week. By the way, when you've done it for a week, stop for a month or two to let your body get back to normal. If you do it constantly for several weeks, it'll set your blood flow off-kilter.

So…to anyone who's done the hair over the bed or coach experiment…. How long does it take to see results??! I have done it for like 3-4 days and its only grown about a third of an inch. :( Any tips/advice?

No. I tried it to see if it worked, cause some of the other girls on this forum said it did. (And I am desperately trying to get my hair to grow fast!) It does sound a little strange. My hair has grown like 1/3 inch, but thats probably normal growth. :)

@Rachel and Little Annie Oakley Actually, its not superstitious. I looked it up and since blood helps your hair grow when you lay with your hair over a bed then blood goes to your head thus helping hair growth. :)

So far its grown about 3/4 of an inch or so, so it actually does sort of work - just not as fast as I had hoped. :)
