I signed up for John 1 on Saturday. ) ^I need to talk to Nicolas about that…^
God's Maiden of Virtue
Yup!!! So excited!!! :D
Oh, yay!!! So you all are actually going to dramatize it?! :D ^Oh, don't worry, he's not planning on dramatizing it, so he's doing it on Friday…if that's what you were wondering…^

Yeah, I am. :P Hopefully it'll go okay. :P ^that better be the reason he picked Friday and not Saturday!^
2 Corinthians 5:17
This would be SO fun! :D I gave the link to my dad, although I doubt we'll come because of everything else that's going on. xP
God's Maiden of Virtue
That's great! It'll be fun to see you dramatize! ;) ^Oh, I'm pretty sure that's the reason. :)^
I signed up to dramatize John 20 - really excited to be able to dramatize again!
biblebee
Heh. ^better be! :P^
Can't wait to hear you dramatize it!!!! :D
2 Corinthians 5:17
Is this going to be on livestream or videoed? XD
His Servant
I AM COMING TO THE OHIO SCRIPTORIUM. AND I CAN'T WAITTTTTTTT. XD Dunno what I'm quoting yet, but I'll figure it out sometime soon. ;)
Christian Alexander
Planning to recite John 6. =) But NO DRAMATIZATION. Never. I leave that to the extroverts.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Hey, Carissa dramatizes! :P
Christian Alexander
I would bet she doesn't enjoy it that much. =p She would have to force herself to do it, against her personality. ;)
biblebee
I hate giving speeches. But dramatizing Scripture is different. I have it memorized and so I don't have a problem dramatizing it and reciting it in front of others. Now, if I had to give a dynamic speech or something…I would die… :P
Christian Alexander
What does the fact that you have it memorized have to do with whether or not it's intimidating to express yourself in such dramatic ways on stage? I think we might have different definitions of dramatization…. Would you call what your family did with those chapters from Matthew dramatization?
His Servant
At this moment, I'm planning on quoting John 12. =] And I'm planning on doing dramatization.
What's your definition of it, Christian? ;)
biblebee
I don't have to think on the spot. :P Either way I'll be on stage and feel embarrassed…may as well dramatize it while I'm there. :P Um, no…we just had parts and didn't dramatize.

You'd better not of taken Friday just cause I mentioned wanting sat! :P

Nice! =)
Um, well, it definitely wasn't what your family did for Matthew, but Carissa has confirmed that she thinks that as well, so I suppose we're in agreement. I'm just finding it astonishing how comfortable she is with the idea – as if memorizing a dramatization makes it easier or something… =P I mean, is there an alternative? Would you do a dramatization without memorizing your lines first? XD I think anyone in their right mind would be uncomfortable with that. xP
His Servant
O.o
What's your definition thennnn? I mean, examples of what you think dramatizations looks like/sounds like? Different voices? Raising and lowering of speech for making points? I'm just curious of your thoughts. :)
biblebee
I normally don't make sense…I'm very illogical and all that. So, technically you shouldn't be surprised that I would dramatize. :P
Mercy/Sarah/Louisa the Crumber
Is this an official Scripture Memory Fellowship event?
God's Maiden of Virtue
Your idea of dramatization is very different from mine. xD When I think dramatization (in this sense), I think hand motions/voice acting/expression. :)
God's Maiden of Virtue
Hi Josie! No, this is not being put together by Scripture Memory Fellowship. This is just a scriptorium-type Bible festival that my family is putting on in OH. But…I believe SMF will be sponsoring it, and even be mentioned/promoted at the event. I am not entirely sure about this and all the details there, though, so I wouldn't stand by that quite yet. You can find out more at the website: ohioscriptorium.wordpress.com
We would love it if your family wanted to participate! :)
Mercy/Sarah/Louisa the Crumber
Thank you! I think it's a great idea. I wonder if it would be possible those who couldn't come to participate over Skype.
God's Maiden of Virtue
Hm, I hadn't thought about that. That would be great if anyone who wanted to participate, but aren't able to attend the actual event could do it through Skype. I will have to mention this to my dad. Thank you for the idea!
Where do you all live? (If you don't mind me asking)
Mercy/Sarah/Louisa the Crumber
At that time I'll probably be in a Muslim area so I can't really say where it is on here. But it would be okay if I Skyped, as long as I didn't mention certain things.
God's Maiden of Virtue
Ah, I understand. I will definitely see what we can do; and maybe that would work, if you do participate. :)
His Servant

Huh? That's exactly what I was thinking. When I was commenting this morning, I was rushed because I had to go make breakfast right after. xP But that's what I think… and I'm still waiting on what Christian thinks it is…
I really do enjoy using expression and stuff like that when I read/recite speeches/books. Like, a lot. And I do it all the time when I quote slowly. But, I don't feel like I can ever do hand-motions that fit with what I'm talking about. I mean, I use hand-motions ALL THE TIME whenever I talk, but when I have pressure and really feel the need to use hand-motions, I can't get them out well.
Just curious as to what made you think we have different ideas…?
God's Maiden of Virtue
Well, you seemed to refer to what your family did with Matthew as dramatization. Which, is a form of it. But I guess just not what I envisioned when I think of dramatized. :)
I would say that what I did with Jonah 1 is what Dad and I interpret as dramatization, but you didn't see it; so forget it. xP Not sure how to explain what I mean. facepalm
It'll be fun to watch you and Carissa dramatize though, since I've never seen either of you do it! =)
His Servant
Well, I thought we did a little, but not a lot. I dunno. =/
And I think the same of you guys! Really looking forward to hearing your family quote, as I never have before! Almost thought I was going to be in the same oral round group with Christian and Nicolas at nationals, but it didn't work out that way.
biblebee
Oh dear… I'm going to die…

That's "not have taken." :P
God's Maiden of Virtue
You won't die! I'm not saying you have to do it that way - do it the way you would. :)
God's Maiden of Virtue
I don't know either; there are many interpretations. ;) Just do it however you would - it'll be great!
Haha, wow, that's true…other than Nicolas, of course. x)

Oh. Yeah. Right.
But you didn't answer my question!!!
Christian Alexander
I agree with Rosie's assessment. I was just thinking that you guys might consider what you did for Matthew dramatization. Obviously you don't though, so now I'm still just astonished that Carissa is so comfortable with the idea of doing something so non-introvertish. =P
biblebee
I have an adventerous side to me. :P

Sounds good. I think we did a little bit of dramatization as we did a little voice variation/whatever you call it. But yeah, it wasn't done to the extent of when I think "dramatization".
And now…. to get on with the memory of my chapter and coming up with hand-motions. cringe

I'm glad! ;) It'll be fun to see you do something "non-introverted" like that. ^One of the best "non-introverted" things you can do! XD^. :D

There. Just sent a list of chapters to Mr. Alexander of what our family is quoting. xP I hope we left enough for others. JK!

Why would you force yourself to do something that you cringe about? xD
Oh, and I just had a duh moment. Of course you guys know what dramatization is… Your mom did it for Mark. XP

And from Marquis Laughlin… :P
