A sincere apology can't be downloaded anyway.
I will record one for him.
Do it in my best Darth Vader voice. And then end with "PSYCHE!" :)

I will see you in June!

You'll have to come up with one, then.
Naaaaaaaaah. Sounds silly. And as everyone knows, I hate silly. ;)

Sam, the apology doesn't have to be good. It just has to be sincere.

Y'know what I've noticed about these "disagreements"? It's that, no matter what the other person does Sam is always the one who people think has to apologize. What about what the other person did (in this case Leah)? I think the one who should apologize is Leah.

I think she did.

Sorry. My point was that whenever something like this comes up, everyone jumps over Sam and not the other person who said something like that.

Sam is socially confident. So some people want him humbled when they clash/disagree.

Mary, Did You Know?
By: Mark Lowry

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy has come to make you new?
This Child that you delivered will soon deliver you.

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy will calm the storm with His hand?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little Baby you kissed the face of God?

The blind will see.
The deaf will hear.
The dead will live again.
The lame will leap.
The dumb will speak
The praises of The Lamb.

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would one day rule the nations?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?
The sleeping Child you're holding is the Great, I Am.

However, I think that BOTH SIDES SHOULD APOLOGIZE for certain things!

Grace
By: Carolyn Hamlin

Lord, as I seek your guidance for the day,
I find my thoughts unyielding: confusion clouds my way,
But, then when I bow to you, the challenges you guide me through,
Your promises are ever new: I claim them for today.

Your will cannot lead me where your grace cannot keep me.
Your hand will protect me: I rest in your care.
Your eyes will watch over me: Your love will forgive me.
And when I am faltering, I still will find you there.

Each new day’s design is guided by your hand,
And graciously revealed as I seek your Master plan.
Keep my footsteps faithful when from you I go.
Return me to the joy that your blessings can bestow.

Your will cannot lead me where your grace cannot keep me.
Your hand will protect me: I rest in your care.
Your eyes will watch over me: Your love will forgive me.
And when I am faltering, I still will find you there.

Your eyes will watch over me,
Your love will forgive me,
And when I am faltering,
Lord, I will find you there.

Jesus, Savior, Blessed Friend
By: Deborah Govenor

Whom have I, O Lord, beside you? What have I except your love?
Where is home if not for heaven, there to dwell with you above?
Who are you, if not my Savior? Who am I if not your own?
What are you if not my shelter, Christ my rock and cornerstone?
Jesus, Savior, blessed friend, I will love you without end.

Who will share my earthly sorrow? Who will heal my broken heart?
Who will hold my life together when it seems to fall apart?
When the fears are far too many, and the joys are far too few,
Who will comfort and defend me? Only you, Lord, only you.
Jesus, Savior, blessed friend, I will trust you without end.

Where, O Lord, when life is over, can I go, but home to you?
What have I except the promise where you are I shall be too?
When at last I reach the comfort of that bright celestial place,
There with joy will I behold you, gaze upon your glorious face.
Jesus, Savior, heavenly friend, I will praise you without end.

God Will Make A Way
By: Don Moen

God will make a way
Where there seems to be no way
He works in ways we cannot see
He will make a way for me

He will be my guide
Hold me closely to His side
With love and strength for each new day
He will make a way, He will make a way

^You sing this a few times through.^

Okay, Sam, I understand how you might be angry about this, but you don't have to be a jerk about it. I mean really? You insincerely apologize? Come on dude! What she did wasn't exactly right, and I admit, her apology didn't sound quite right; but don't be a jerk about it. Do I even have to quote the "Do unto others" verse here? Even if her apology didn't exactly sound sincere itself, the best thing you could do is not to stir up strife by being difficult about it. Please just apologize to her and let it go.

Am I mad at her for stuff she did to me? Nope. Leah-san can say whatever she wants about me, Do I like her insinuating that my good friends aren;t saved simply because they like music she doesn't? Nope. As MV King, I strive to correct such people. :)

I could say that I was sincere. But I'd be lying. Should I lie? :)

This has gotten absolutely, ridiculously out of hand. I thought my comment was sufficient to bring an end to all of this. I addressed both sides with ways in which I thought the situation could have been handled better. That was all that was needed.

I agree with Carissa's point that an unequal amount of blame is being placed on one party. However, I do feel that there should be an amount of blame placed on that party. Especially due to how things were handled afterwards.

Sam, I'm going to call you out publicly because what you did was public. Posting the lyrics to "Mean" was out of line, and you know it. That was completely inappropriate, and I do think you should apologize. Leah's response was humble and appropriate. Yours was immature. I understand that it was in keeping with your personality and your reputation. But I think such things need to be laid aside in this situation when people's feelings were hurt.

We are told in multiple places in Scripture that we should not flaunt our liberty as Christians. Sam, you have the liberty to listen to and enjoy Taylor Swift's music. I would never deny you that liberty. I have exercised that liberty myself at certain times in my life. But when you're in a situation where you know from experience that many of those present will not appreciate you exercising your liberty, you must not flaunt it. For to exercise it in such a context is to flaunt it.

Leah, I appreciate your apology. You have every right to believe that the lyrics to those songs are inappropriate. At first glance, with no further knowledge of the artist's intent behind them, they certainly do appear inappropriate. And I would contend that they were inappropriate for this context. So I commend you for taking what I said in stride. I believe your response was by far the more mature one.

I want the discussion about this to deescalate significantly if it is going to continue. I know, Sam, that you're trying to keep things from escalating, through the use of smiley faces; but smiley faces aren't sufficient to mask your brash, immature tone. I hate to talk to you like this, but I feel that I have to. You've come to be characterized by this type of behavior, and I don't like that. I know you better than almost anyone else here, and I know you aren't really the way that you present yourself, nor do you need to be. So please stop before things get any worse.

I must admit, I didn't read through all 4+ pages of this controversy. I skimmed some of the comments, but it quickly became apparent that someone needed to put their foot down, and since I created the thread, I feel the responsibility to do that. I won't say that I want this to stop (though I feel like saying that), because I do want people to be able to respond to and discuss this comment. But please, everyone, be gracious in your responses. Treat others the way you would want to be treated yourself – the way Christ would treat someone with whom He disagreed. You should not flaunt your Christian liberty; nor should you condemn those who have different standards than you do.

I hope we can end this soon and without any more hurt feelings or immaturity.

In all seriousness, I appreciate what you said, Christian-kun. I still feel that Leah's "apology" wasn't an apology. But we can drop the matter if everyone else wants to. Coming out of a church where people who believed differently were treated as unbelievers, I am sensitive to such things, and I don't appreciate them. Which is why I treat them with the ridiculous air that I believe they deserve.

bows

I do apologize for any inconvenience, as far as the discussion goes. I don't take back what I said. But I do realize that perhaps my carefree nature was not…very well-received…by some.

Waterfall, Chris Tomlin

Oh God, my God I seek You
I wanna move when You move
You're more than I could long for
I thirst for You

You're an ocean to my soul
To my soul

Your love is like a waterfall, waterfall
Running wild and free
You hear my heart when I call, when I call
Deep calls, too deep
Your love is like a waterfall, waterfall
Raining down on me

Waterfall, waterfall

Oh God, my God I seek You
In this dry and desert land
You lead me to streams of mercy
Once again

You're an ocean to my soul
To my soul

Your love is like a waterfall, waterfall
Running wild and free
You hear my heart when I call, when I call
Deep calls, too deep
Your love is like a waterfall, waterfall
Raining down on me

Waterfall, waterfall

It's coming like a flood
I'm dancing in the rain
Everything I've done
Is covered in rivers of grace, amazing

It's coming like a flood
I'm dancing in the rain
I lift up my hands
Your love never changes, amazing

Your love is like a waterfall, waterfall
Running wild and free
You hear my heart when I call, when I call
Deep calls, too deep
Your love is like a waterfall, waterfall
Raining down on me

Waterfall, waterfall

Okay. Yes; you're definitely right. I notice that frequently–not just on here, but… well, in life in general, the person who responds wrongly is often beaten up, and the person who did the bad thing that brought the wrong response is ignored. :-)

Hope y'all enjoy my most favorite song ever!!!!!!!!! :D

Nobody likes me, everybody hates me
I guess I'll go eat worms
Big fat juicy ones
Insy weensy squincy ones
Oh how they wiggle and squirm

Down goes the first one
Down goes the second one
Oh how they wiggle and squirm
Up comes the first one
Up comes the second one
Oh how they wiggle and squirm

Nobody likes me, everybody hates me
I guess I'll go eat worms
Big fat juicy ones
Insy weensy squincy ones
Oh how they wiggle and squirm

I'll bite off their heads and
Suck out the juice
And throw the skins away
Nobody knows how I survive
On worms three times a day

Nobody likes me, everybody hates me
I guess I'll go eat worms
Big fat juicy ones
Insy weensy squincy ones
Oh how they wiggle and squirm

Well long thin slimy ones
Slip down easily
Short fat fuzzy ones don't
Short fat fuzzy ones
Stick to your teeth
And the juice goes
Slurpin' down your throat

Nobody likes me, everybody hates me
I guess I'll go eat worms
Big fat juicy ones
Insy weensy squincy ones
Oh how they wiggle and squirm

2 Corinthians 5:17

Lord, Change my heart from deep within,
Oh purify me once again.
Renew my mind to love your truth;
Make me more and more like You.

More and more like You,
More and more like You;
Do whatever you must do
To make me more and more like You.

Lord, cause my will to choose Your ways
In each temptation that I face,
Until your glory's shining through;
Make me more and more like You.

More and more like You,
More and more like You;
Do whatever you must do
To make me more and more like You.

Lord, now I rest in Your great love;
Secure in Your own righteousness,
Because You Spirits work of grace,
Makes me more and more like you.

More and more like You,
More and more like You;
Do whatever you must do
To make me more and more like You.

These words are transcribed as best as I could from a song that might well be my favorite rap song; Boasting by Lecrae, featuring Anthony Evans. Since Christian was posting rap lyrics I thought I might as well too. ;)

If this life has anything to gain at all,
I'll count it loss if I can hear You, feel You;
'Cause I need You, can't walk this earth alone.
I recognize I'm not my own,
So before I fall, I need to hear You, feel You,
As I live to make my boast in You alone.

With every breath I take, with every heartbeat,
Sun rising, moon lights in a dark street,
Every glance, every dance, every note of a song,
It's all a gift undeserved that I shouldn't have known.
Every day that I lie, every moment I covet,
I'm deserving to die. I'm just earning Your judgment.
Aye, without the cross there's only condemnation.
If Jesus wasn't executed there's no celebration.
So in times that are good, in times that are bad,
For any times that I've had it all I will be glad.
And I will boast in the cross, I'll boast in my pains,
I will boast in His sunshine, boast in His rains.
What's my life if it's not praising You?
Another dollar in my bank account, a vain pursuit.
I do not count my life as any value or precious at all.
Let me finish my race; let me answer my call.

If this life has anything to gain at all,
I'll count it loss if I can hear You, feel You;
'Cause I need You, can't walk this earth alone.
I recognize I'm not my own,
So before I fall, I need to hear You, feel You,
As I live to make my boast in You alone.

Tomorrow's never promised. "But it is", we swear.
We think we're holding our own, just a fistful of air.
God has never been obligated to give us life.
If we fought for our rights, we'd be in hell tonight.
Mere sinners, owed nothing but a fierce hand,
We never loved Him. We pushed away His pierced hands.
I rejected his love, grace, kindness and mercy,
Dying of thirst, yet willing to die thirsty.
Eternally worthy - how could I live for less?
Patiently You turned my heart away from selfishness.
I volunteer for your sanctifying surgery,
I know the Spirit's purging me of everything that's hurting me.
Removed the veil from my darkened eyes,
So now every morning I open Your Word and see the sun rise,
I hope in nothing, boast in nothing, only in Your suffering.
I live to show Your glory, dying to tell Your story.

If this life has anything to gain at all,
I'll count it loss if I can hear You, feel You;
'Cause I need You, can't walk this earth alone.
I recognize I'm not my own,
So before I fall, I need to hear You, feel You,
As I live to make my boast in You alone.

Glory was solely meant for You,
Doing what no one else could do.
With all I have to give,
I'll use my life, I'll use my lips.
I'll only glory in Your Word -
A gift to me I don't deserve.
I'll live in such a way
That it reflects to You my praise.

If this life has anything to gain at all,
I'll count it loss if I can hear You, feel You;
'Cause I need You, can't walk this earth alone.
I recognize I'm not my own,
So before I fall, I need to hear You, feel You,
As I live to make my boast in You alone.

Red Roots _These days_ :

These days are getting shorter and shorter all the time
Still I’m wishing that I was older
Spent my whole life waiting in line
uh oh slow down uh oh got to make it all count

Even if it was a rainy day I’d find a reason to be happy
And when all the clouds have gone away
Your love makes me feel like laughing
Tomorrow is a hope that we can’t hold to anyway
Cause all we have are these days
Yeah all we have are these days

These days are getting louder and louder all the time
Its hard to hear your quiet whisper
It's hard to hear your voice over mine
uh oh listen now uh oh got to make it count

These days are getting brighter and brighter all the time
I can feel your coming closer
I can feel your warm sunshine
Uh oh uh oh got to make it all count

Even if it was a rainy day, Your my reason to be happy
And when all the clouds have gone away
Your love makes me feel like laughing
Tomorrow is a hope that we can’t hold to anyway
Cause all we have are these days
Yea all we have are these days

Porque Él Me Amó Primero

Hope In Front of Me, by Danny Gokey

I've been running through rain that I though would never end
Trying to make it on faith in a struggle against the wind
I've seen the dark and the broken places
But I know in my soul, no matter how bad it gets,
I'll be alright

There's hope in front of me
There's a light, I still see it
There's a hand still holding me
Even when I don't believe it
I might be down, but I'm not dead
There's better days still up ahead
Even after all I've seen
There's hope in front of me

There's a place at the end of the storm, you finally find
Where the hurt and the tears and the pain all fall behind
You open up your eyes and
Up ahead there's a big sun shining
Right then and there you realize
You'll be alright

There's hope in front of me
There's a light, I still see it
There's a hand still holding me
Even when I don't believe it
I might be down, but I'm not dead
There's better days still up ahead
Even after all I've seen
There's hope in front of me

There's a hope still burning
I can feel it rising through the night
And my world's still turning
I can feel your love here by my side

You're my hope
You're the light, I still see it
Your hands are holding me
Even when I don't believe it
I've got to believe, I've got to believe

I still have hope
You are my hope

Just what is 'being yourself"?
Differentiate yourself,
By being "different from others"!

Is what I saw written,
In bold letters on a magazine rack pamphlet.
Just what is "being yourself"?

I was never worried about it when I was a kid,
Getting mad when something bothered me…
Saying I liked the things I was fond of…

But we change…
The things we want to protect,
Change…

From a treasure that needs no explanation,
To social behavior we take just to be understood.
The more adult we become,
The more we turn into creatures of regret…

But you know…even so…
There's surely something to be learned there.

So I'll be myself,
And you'll be yourself.

I really don't think it's something,
We have to start over from the beginning to find.

I'm not you,
And you're not me,
That's why we disagree; or join hands.

Even love can sometimes grow there -
That's just how it works.

I wonder what "being yourself" is?
There are eternally…

..precious things out there,
So a life full of change is the right way to go.

You gotta,
Find something that makes you original;
It's the saying you hear that's so devoid of originality.

Like a bystander who realizes something,
And takes a step back to remain anonymous.

But wait just a second! This starry sky,
Is no different than it was,
On that day;

I'm sure such a treasure,
Even if never understood,
Is still precious now.

Change is frightening to me,
But I also hate these unchanging days…
Wanting to change,
Not being able to…

Thinking here and there,
About my childhood.
I feel like I'm losing sight of things.
Like how to express myself;

I was worried about,
The bold letters,
I'd seen on that magazine rack…

But you know…even so..
We have to realize what there is to be learned there.

So I'll be myself,
And you'll be yourself.
I really don't think it's something…

…we have to start over,
From the beginning to find.
I'm not you,
And you're not me,

That's why we disagree, or join hands;
Even love can sometimes grow there -

That's just how it works.
I wonder what "being yourself" is?

There are eternally…
..precious things out there,
So a life full of change is the right way to go.

'Cause there are precious things,
That never change.

The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.

Refrain:
Oh, love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure—
The saints’ and angels’ song.

When hoary time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
When men who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call,
God’s love so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race—
The saints’ and angels’ song.

Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
