My mom dyes her hair… I don't think it's the action of literally dying ur hair that can make it wrong, it's the motive behind why u dye it.

It definitely depends on the motive. I want hair chalks(which is very different than dyeing your hair), and I think it is fine. I want them to have fun not to attract attention. However is my motive was to get attention from them I think they would be wrong.

carissaBB I don't have a problem with it. I don't do it though. My parents don't think much of it, like tattooing, because of it drawing attention to one's self and the message it might send.

I don't have a big problem with that, even though some nail polishes can get a little crazy.

Also I'm kinda against hair dying for another reason: it's bad for your hair. According to my mom, if you dye your hair over and over again it will start to fall out.

It doesn't fall out it just damages it. Lol

Nail polish is very temporary, but dying your hair is much more permanent. Also nail polish doesn't damage your nails like dyeing your hair damages it. Of course I should have said this from the start: I am not an expert on this at all! I probably won't give you the best answers. I was more hoping to learn from this than anything else, but I just wanted to point out something that most people here seemed to be missing.

Hair dye isn't really permanent either; you just have to wait for your hair to grow enough, then you can cut off the dyed part whenever you want. Just a thought.

Maybe the females of his family don't cut their hair… they probably do though…

No they really don't. My sister gets one maybe twice a year, and I can't remember the last time my mom had a haircut. :)
