- You're can't feel bored.

Hey I'm confused of Sarah B. 's profiles. :( How many Sarah B s are there actually from ohio?
Please don't get angry with me Sarah. Its been a long time since i visited Memverse.
Sarah B.
There is only one Sarah B on Memverse right now. "Sarah B. loves MI" is actually a boy who is making fun of my disposition. I'm okay with it. :)
No, I'm not angry with you! I'm so glad to see you again!!! Remember me? I'm Princess Cowgirl! I wish I could give you a big hug!
Evie, Child of Grace
If you don't mind my asking, why can't you go?
Eunice Sophia
I'm excited Sarah. You remember me so well that you could just give me your name I'm actually familiar with then.
I wish I could give a hug too!! :)
So this is your profile.
Sarah B.
I have lots of reasons. :) The main reason is that I don't think that is what God has for me right now. I have many other things to do. :)
Do you plan on going to college?
Sarah B.
Yes! It's hard for me to forget people. :) I have often wondered what happened to you… and I am so glad to see you again!
I don't know how much you are comfortable telling me on here (maybe we could email). But I would like to get to know you better, and how you heard of Memverse!

I'm quite a bit torn about the whole college thing right now…. Ah, well, we'll just see how God leads.
Sarah B.
I can sympathize! I didn't want to go to college for a long time… then I did… then I didn't. It just didn't seem practical for me. If I had chosen to go to college I would have probably gone to BJ University and been looking into being a veterinarian. The problem was money and time. It cost so much that by the time I was done all the schooling there was no way I would just get married and be a stay at home mom! I would have to work to pay any debt… and then I would feel compelled to make the most of my hard earned digree. I made up my mind that if I went to college I would not marry. Ever. (I'm an extremist!)
Evie, Child of Grace
That's a good reason! :)
Just now, I'm not planning to go to college at least until my sister finishes high school, when we might go together. I have some scholarship opportunities, which I'd kind of hate to miss but then, I have enjoyed studying at home so much that I'm not sure I would want to spend all that time away from my family and all. In short, I don't know. Waiting on the Lord, and keeping nice and busy meanwhile. :)
Sarah B.
Yes, I have plenty of things to keep me busy here at home! As it is, I am now a birth Doula! :)
Christine Daaé (Dani the Older)
I particularly want to go to college for music. It would be wonderful to study singing… And flute… And violin… And organ- oh, wouldn't I love to learn more about the organ! I don't know any 'real' organists, and Mum doesn't really know any more than I do.
And then there's drama, which so many people have told me I need to study, but I would not do that in a secular college. And I can't afford a Christian college, and besides, I don't want to leave home.
And, then, if I do get married, well, music would be helpful, but would I really need a degree in music to be able to teach my kids? No.
God knows what's best, so I think I'll stop thinking about it right now. :)
Sarah B.
LOL! That sounds like a lot of fun, girl!!! Shoot for the moon! :)
God bless!
Christine Daaé (Dani the Older)
Ha, yeah, I'm a bit ambitious, especially in my music, but….
Eunice Sophia
That's very nice of you.
I'll mail you to the id on your profile page.

You could always take your classes one by one and work while you're doing them. That way you can earn your degree while having no debt. And, since you don't know what the future would hold, a degree could help you a lot in the long run. It's usually the better option to go to college, so that you can have something to fall back on in case of something unexpected happening. And, you could always marry someone you meet at college. ;)

You have a lot of ambition. Maybe look for opportunities for a scholarship, that might help. I heard about this one thing called the Bible Bee, I think they're giving out scholarships, right? ;)
Sarah B.
Okay! Go ahead and email me whenever. Or I could email you… :)
Eunice Sophia
have sent my mail to you.
Sarah B.
Thank you so much, Eunice! I got it! I am working on a reply now, but it is taking a while because I have so many small interruptions. I will get it to you as soon as I can. :) God bless!

Hah! Sarah B. loves MI is rly Sarah B. and she loves MI. xP
Sarah B.
Okay! I made a mistake… I thought that the doula trainer's instructions had included that "CD(DONA)" were the initials that were to go on our name as doula's… I didn't consider that "CD" stood for "Certified Doula". I am not certified yet. So I can go back to "Sarah".
Oh, I hate it when I make silly mistakes… but I guess stuff like that happens to everyone. :P
Eunice Sophia
Sarah, it happened to me today. Check your mail. :(
Sarah B.
It's okay, Eunice! :) I understand. I will be replying to youf email soon! :)

Hey meanie face! xP

Sarah! I saw 2 Manions at a wedding today xD
Neat! My, it's a small world! Did you talk to them? :)
2 Corinthians 5:17
I meant to, but never got a chance to. I was wanting to ask if they knew you (although I already know they do xD xD )
Sarah B.
Aw, that's too bad. :P Which ones were there? Do you know names?
Esther Grace
I noticed in a comment of yours that you don't celebrate Christmas. I'm curious - why?
Sarah B.
I noticed in a comment of yours that you don't celebrate Christmas. I'm curious - why?
Uhh… you really want to know? XP ;)
It's got a lot to do with what God has commanded and not commanded.
He commanded us not to mix with the religions and celebrations of paganism. Christmas originally was a pagan holiday.
He has not commanded, or given any indication that He desires us to worship His birthday in this way. Throughout the Bible God always made it clear exactly how He wanted to be glorified. He has not even given us the exact date of Christ's birth to go on.
That's just the main things. ;)
SavedByGrace
Hm… just to give both sides of the issue… :P
-
Christmas is not associated with paganism anymore. It has nothing to do with the holiday it originally came from!
-
Just because God doesn't tell us specifically to celebrate Jesus' birth doesn't mean He doesn't want us to do it! And He hasn't given us any exact date in the Bible! :P
Sarah B.
It doesn't change the fact that it came from paganism.
He has given us the dates for celebrating the holidays He commanded.
SavedByGrace

It does. Since Christmas is no longer associated with paganism, we are not associating ourselves with paganism if we celebrate it. As you've heard before, the names of the days of the week also came from paganism. "But we don't celebrate those!" But shouldn't we not be using them at all if pagans invented them?
…There's another point on which we differ, and I forgot we differed on that. :P Those holidays were for the nation of Israel… not for Christians today. Just like the vast majority of the laws which they were commanded to follow back then, we don't have to follow.
Sarah B.
The first, we can't change everything culture has changed. Can you find something in the Bible that tells me I am wrong for not celebrating Christmas and Easter? Why do you believe Christmas is right according to the Bible? (I have given you my scripture references before, but I can give them again)
We as gentiles were never commanded to celebrate the Jewish holidays. However, I thi k it is better that we celebrate the holidays set up by God then man made ones. God has given us the ways he wants to be glorified.

Oh, I don't think you're wrong for not celebrating Christmas and Easter! Forgive me for implying that I do! I'm merely saying that it's perfectly acceptable to celebrate those holidays if you wish to do so (and actually, we barely celebrate either holiday either; I'm just defending those who do). I get this from Scripture because I don't see anything against it, not because God said that we should do it.
Yes, God has given us the ways He wants to be glorified–prayer, Scripture reading and meditation, the sacraments, fellowship with the saints, etc. Really, we don't need to celebrate any holiday, according to Scripture; but there's no reason not to.
Esther Grace
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to start another debate about it! I was just curious - I hadn't ever met someone who doesn't celebrate Christmas.
Sarah B.
Haha, I don't mind debating it with friends. ;) I actually enjoy it because it's one of the only Theological matters I really understand enough to make an argument about.
^But I have a feeling that when I get married I will celebrate Christmas with my husband's family.^
Esther Grace
Oh good. :) I know what you mean - I haven't joined the Theological discussions yet for that reason. :P

Let me rephrase that - I had not knowingly met anyone who doesn't celebrate Christmas. :)
Sarah B.
Wisdom teeth out tomorrow.
