2014 Bible Bee Game Show

To express my opinion of the BibleBee, I can find no fitter words than those of the Bard:

That they are mad, 'tis true;
'Tis true, tis pity, and pity 'tis, 'tis true.

So, those of you who were in the webinar last night, did you hear anything about if 2 siblings from 1 family can make it on to the Game Show? I asked, but maybe it was a contest question and that's why it wasn't answered.

I don't remember anything but we missed part of the webinar because our thing shut down…

I don't want to make anyone feel bad and though I love theological discussions don't lets get into one now. But I feel like the game show is rather a waste of time. I think it's turning the Bible and sharing the Scriptures with people into a more commercialized, showy and less helpful thing for both believers and non- believers. The National Bee is different, it's friendly competition(I hope!) among fellow believers and I time to build up each other by fellowship and discussion of the Word; it's not broadcasted to people you've never met, who knows where, most of whom you'll probably never know.
I know now that I'm getting my thoughts down in words, my argument seems rather vague but I hope you understand what I mean! I wish good fortune on all of you who are trying for it but as for us, we will walk in the name of the Lord our God forever and ever…Don't listen to that, I just had to add that in! - Seriously, though, I guess it's not for everybody!

Did anyone notice that the maximum file size jumped from 10MB to 1GB?

Does anyone have a list of the Game Show contestants that they could share on here? I didn't write them down.

No, but on the BB website you can still watch the Opening Ceremony, so you could make a list from that.

SO WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH THIS? Peoples, please, who made it to Semis? Who made it on to finals? WHO WENT TO SAN ANTONIO???

All of the contestants signed forms saying that they wouldn't say anything about what happened during the recordings. So you won't know the answers to your questions until the episodes air on television.

Until then? I thought it was just until after the filming… That's not really fair to those of us who don't watch TV and have no way to…. :-/

Do you know anything about the airing yet, like channel and whether or not we can watch online (for those of us without cable)?

Dani and Esther - I think it was Mrs. McMahan who said that they don't know when it's going to air. They didn't specify a channel or station, so I assume that they were trying to sell it to a channel. It would be really cool if it made it on national television, but I don't know how that would work. Everything is apparently up to the producers.

I saw a news report that said it would air in 2015, if that helps :P

Filming is done :) I think it was a terrific show!! I'm looking forward to being able to tell about it! x)

EDIT: Just so you all know, our family lives in San Antonio, so we were naturally at the Game Show. Whether or not we had any contestants in the filming is still a secret. All you know is that Courtney was in Prelims at Nats. :P

To calm all of everyone's concerns: I was informed while at the Game Show by a McMahan that all Game Show contestants are at liberty to divulge whether or not they proceeded to San Antonio. We are simply not allowed to tell how we did, or what the show itself was like.

In my opinion, surprises are over-rated, however, if someone really wants to be surprised, they don't have to click on the link. Simple. Not difficult. Not rocket-science. Problem solved. Surprised no one has thought of this before.

Obviously, since we filmed prelims as well as semis and finals in Texas, the fact that you traveled to San Antonio doesn't mean anything, so please do not share anything more at all.

Okay, thank you for the clarification. I had already heard this and was not planning on saying anything else than the fact that I had been at San Antonio. But I may have been a bit vague in explaining what we contestants were not allowed to say. :)
