Why? What's the difference?Teasing is not the same--even when you extend it logically--as such an outright display. The same arguments cannot be used to "justify" it; so I have to agree with them in saying that it isn't the best analogy to use here. Not to put down your argument; I just don't think this was the best way to prove what you're saying. :)
But everyone would know it's all just a joke… just like they do when we tease.

But… something like that can't be a joke. Nobody can… well, do what you described… purely as a joke. Teasing is like sarcasm/irony; you can do or say something other than what you really mean, and people generally understand. I completely agree with you that romance teasing is not an appropriate kind of teasing; but I don't think this analogy fits very well. :)

@Sam and @Nicolas, I can say it's sin because it is deliberately offending other Christians. In some cases, it'd be causing them to stumble because they think God doesn't want them to be involved in such teasing. In any case, it is having no respect for their wishes and making fun of them against their will–for the sake of your stinkin' fun. If they don't want to have a serious aspect of life mocked in them, you shouldn't do it (I don't think you should do it regardless, but I only say it's sin if they've asked you not to).
@Sam, just because I've committed sins in my life doesn't mean I can't point out that God says something is wrong. When Jesus said that, He was talking to hypocrites.

Sure it can be! Maybe someone is joking about me and a girl, saying we should get married, and I'm going along with it and decide to make people laugh even more by jokingly giving her a quick smooch and saying, "Can you see us together?" That could work.

At that point, my good self and I would reply with something along the lines of "Hah, I couldn't live with her! She'd never let me eat Chinese!" ;)
Perhaps using "romantic teasing" (honestly, that phrase keeps making me think of a couple teasing each other in-between kisses) in a not bad way is an art you do not possess. ;)

Hey, put that way, I agree. :) ^(And though I can completely understand your annoyance… such a stern tone probably isn't gonna help anything here. Proverbs 15:1, right? :) )^ But really, I don't know if this argument applies here. The people who have asked not to be teased are the ones who aren't being teased! I don't think any sin is (at least not obviously) being committed here. I still agree that teasing should not be occurring, though.

In the context of this community of believers, kissing cannot be not viewed as playful by anyone. That's why it's different. And I know that none of us could ever actually do something like that just to be funny; this makes it a faulty analogy in the context of us Memversers.

Because no one involved in the teasing about which we are talking could even conceive to do something so serious in a playful manner! Romance teasing is not as serious as that, even in my opinion!
