Great job! For me, my original plan was to finish memorizing them two weeks before Nationals, but I ended up finishing them only a couple days ago. :P

I'm very dissapointed, some of my friends and church family, wanted to watch the semi-finals and finals. If we made it but they don't have the money to spare. I really don't think this was a good idea (I hope no one takes offence) by the Shelby Kennedy Foundation.

you have to pay $10?!!! per family!!
a lot of our friends were going to watch it if we made it…..but now i don't think a lot of them will anymore.
It could discourage other people to watch it too if they want to see what the BibleBee is like

Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed by the fact that people have to pay to watch the Semifinals and Finals online. I myself am going to be there personally, so it doesn't affect me, but I know that this will cause far fewer people to decide to watch it. I also have a few friends that will be watching the competitions, and the fee will probably be rather inconvenient. With all respect, and knowing that they are just doing this to pay off their bills, I have to say that I don't think this was a very good decision by the Shelby Kennedy Foundation.

WE'RE LEAVING TOMORROW MORNING!!!!!!!!!

I'm a bit excited that the Nationals have finally come! :) I feel more prepared this year than I ever have, and, by God's grace, I think my studying will get me a fairly high score. But even if I make last place, I know that I will have done my best and will pray that God will be glorified by however well I do. :) I'll pray that you all do great, and that your hard work will pay off! GOD BLESS!!!! :)

Thanks Guys! A bunch of us are at Nationals! Haven't seen anybody from Memverse, but expect that will change when the competition starts. Take Care! Getting a good nights rest before meeting the crew tomorrow :) and the fun starts :) May the Lord bless all of you National competitors, the people on Memverse, the people that are praying for us! Looking forward to this :)

Me! Funny to think how we're so close to each other, unlike most of the time. :) Zachary and I met again today, and I can't wait to meet others from Memverse! Already, we briefly saw the Pentimones, and we also saw the Leonards, who have two Memversers in their family.

I am here! \ (:D) /

And I, too, will be going for testing soon. It's 6:35 here in Seviersville, Tennessee, and the Senior testing round begins at 9… I think. I'd better go re-check that. :P

I am done with the written test!!

It was…more difficult than I was expecting, but it was not as tough as last year. Memorizing both books this time around helped a lot; but there were still hard questions about geography and meanings behind Greek words, as well as questions that had over-generalized, translation-inclusive answers which always stump me. But, I finished it (just barely), and I feel moderately good about how I did. I don't know if it will be enough to get me in the top fifteen, but it's in God's hands now.

My oral round starts at 1:00, so don't stop praying, all you HRBCers! :)

Please say Hi to everyone at Nationals! I am sorry I couldn't make it this year! (I was too old to compete and too far to travel to just to watch). I will be praying for all of you! Please post updates here as soon as you can for all of us praying for you back at our own homes!

I also was not able to get to Nationals this year. I will be watching as much of it as possible here in Indonesia (and then catch up on my sleep after the weekend is over) Curious who from Memverse made it to semifinals. Also curious if my friend Jessica Hofmeister advanced. Looking forward to seeing some of you on stage tonight (starting at 9:00pm Indonesia time).

Want to encourage all who didn't advance to continue memorizing, meditating on, and treasuring God's incredible Word.

Remember that nobody got a perfect score last year (or even too close – I think everyone missed at least 20 or so). I'm sure you did great.

Also hoping for an update on semi-finalists, but I can wait… I think :)

My guess is that the people who made semi-finals are studying or sleeping, which would explain a lack of information…

I was SO SO surprised when my name was called–especially because of how I was called. I'll explain. So, Roy Patterson, the moderator, comes up to announce the Semifinalists. He starts randomly going through the names, and halfway through he calls a Junior named "Nicolas Anderson." I was confused, because there was no Junior named Nicolas Anderson in the Nationals. But after that, I thought nothing of it, and he went through the rest of the Semifinalists; I was not called up. So everyone started clapping for those who made it, and then the moderator interrupts and says, "Oh, sorry, I made a mistake. I called up Nicolas Anderson, but I meant to call up Nicolas Alexander."

I nearly SCREAMED! :D Earlier, I was pretty sure I did quite well, possibly even well enough to make the Semifinals, but when I didn't hear my name, I was convinced that I hadn't made it. Then I was called last! It was amazing! :) Praise God, and may He receive all the glory from this!! :)

Everett – Sorry that you didn't advance… But remember that making Nationals is itself a huge honor!

Does anyone know which Seniors made the finals? I couldn't watch the whole semi-final live stream and I'd really like to know (if anyone can provide the information)… Thank you!

I guess I'll have to wait too… I know five of the semi-finalists, and I'm just really wondering who made it :)

Oh no, sorry! there's not a ban on it! I just wanted to let the Alexanders tell you all about Nicolas being in semis! =)

The Junior finalists are: Phillip Anderson, Hanna del Toro, Rionna Flynn, Abigail Sutton & Kyle Tappendorf

Many contestants didn't make any mistakes and they had to go back to the previous scores is all of the age divisions to determine the finalists.

I'm not sure who the Primary finalists are. I only watched Junior and Senior semi-finals. The semi-finalists are posted on the webpage, but I don't think the finalists are on there yet.

Thanks for posting. Congratulations to all who participated in the 2012 Bible Bee. What an encouragement to hide God's Word in our heart! Very excited about Memverse user and promoter Amy V winning host of the year!!! May God get all the glory and may there be much eternal fruit through both Memverse and the Bible Bee.
