2014 Nationals Quizzes

Yes; that's right. The Bible Bee quizzes are not over this year! God-willing, we will be continuing them just as we did the Locals quizzes: 4:00 pm EST every Thursday, then a rerun on Tuesday at noon EST. You may partake in these quizzes even if you did not make it to Nationals, are not in the Bible Bee, are not eligible for the Bible Bee, etc. We will not fence the quizzes in any way.
Since the Nationals memory passages are "unique to each age division and do not overlap" (in the words of the Bible Bee's website), there will be no recitation questions except for verses 2 and 3 of chapter 1--very occasionally--which we memorized for Locals. However, when we get further into the study, there might be some reference questions about the book of Nahum.
Important: the quizzes will rely heavily on question submissions. We will want to have many questions about Greek words and cross-references; this way, contestants can introduce other contestants to what they've learned. And please add {Nationals} in the text before the question.
For review, PDFs of the quizzes are also up for download (after they've been run on MemVerse, of course)!

This is great, and it will be very helpful! :) Also you might want to change that Sept 3rd date at the bottom. Sept 3rd is a Wednesday. :P
I was wondering is the quiz going to be on Wednesday or Thursday?
I'll write some questions.
If I would like the enter a question that isn't exactly in scripture (like dates, or something) what would I do for scripture reference?
Ok - I have some quiz questions at this link however there are way too many to add to Memverse, so if anyone wants to use any of them, feel free to do so
@Rachel~ If there is no reference that supports it, you don't need to give a supporting reference—but just double-check it.

@Nateowami and Rachel~ Those guidelines were written for the weekly Bible knowledge quizzes. They apply to the Bible Bee quizzes, too; but only if possible. In a case of deep study--which is required for the Bible Bee--that may include things that are not mentioned in the Bible, it would be impossible to give a supporting reference. So if there is no reference to support the question, just leave that blank--but of course, be careful.
And once again I missed the quiz. Oh, well! Thanks for the PDFs, Nathan. :) Their format is really cool.
Hey Nathan, Alex had done that blog post about 2014 Bible Bee Resources; what do you think about doing one for 2014 Bible Bee Nationals Resources? I could do most of it if you want, though I don't know how to set up the three columns for the practice tests. :P
Well, Zach B. has a thing on his blog where you can enter text and it gives you the first letters of each word - prompterizing sort of like Memverse does. And then there's going to be practice tests coming out early-mid October. But maybe it would be better just to do a post for the tests when they come out.

Well, I just verify a bunch of them for the quizzes every week. So they'll probably all be verified eventually; I just don't know when.
Nathan!! I can't get into today's quiz!! :-/ It says I don't have permission to do that....any help?
Yeah, it's saying the same thing for me, Rachel. When I click on the button it says "You do not have permission to do that." =P
I just posted on the feedback tab...we'll see what happens... ;) Hopefully it'll be fixed quickly...
We are going to Nats this year!! Just me and my mom, my brother and sister aren't going, though.
